Driverslog Pro Connect was developed in accordance with the requirements for an electronic driving log as set out in the German Federal Ministry of Finance letter (IV C 6 – S 2177/07/10004), particularly regarding the immutability of entries and their logging. Changes to already recorded trips are documented by the system and shown in the report through corresponding cancellation or amendment notes.
However, the tax recognition of an electronic driving log lies solely at the discretion of the respective tax office and may be handled differently from one authority to another. A guarantee or assurance of recognition by Driverslog Pro Connect cannot therefore be given.
Recognition also depends significantly on the proper maintenance of the driving log by the user. Even handwritten driving logs may not be recognized for tax purposes if they contain formal or substantive deficiencies. As a general rule, a driving log must be maintained completely, without gaps, promptly and in a closed form.
It is expressly recommended to clarify with the responsible tax advisor or tax office before using the application whether a driving log maintained with Driverslog Pro Connect meets the individual tax requirements.
The user is solely responsible for the factual accuracy, completeness and regularity of the data recorded in the driving log. The user is obligated to document all trips promptly, completely, without gaps and truthfully.
The odometer reading entered for each trip must be compared with the actual odometer of the vehicle. Any automatically calculated or GPS-determined distances serve only as non-binding guidance and may differ from the actual distance driven.
If known routes or data are automatically suggested or pre-filled when creating a new trip, this is solely a convenience feature. All suggested data must be independently verified and corrected if necessary by the user.
Receipts for expenses must be retained separately in accordance with tax retention obligations, regardless of whether they are recorded in the app, and must be presented to the tax office if required.
If the application is temporarily unavailable for technical or other reasons, the user is obligated to document trips by other suitable means (e.g. in writing) and subsequently enter them properly.
No claim exists for recognition by the tax office or for compensation of damages, particularly due to unrecorded, incompletely recorded or technically non-capturable trips, to the extent permitted by law.
Driverslog Pro Connect is a software-based application. Continuous, uninterrupted and error-free availability cannot be technically guaranteed.
If the application is temporarily unavailable, the user is obligated to document trips by other means and enter them properly afterwards.
No claim exists for compensation of lost records or tax disadvantages due to technical disruptions, data loss or unavailability, to the extent permitted by law.
